When we don't pay our property taxes in a timely fashion the county uses this as another means of revenue production. Here is the tax penalty chart for Denton County , Texas:

Penalty reaches a 12% maximum and interest will increase 1% each month thereafter.
Personal property and mobile home accounts not paid in full by March 31st of the year in which they become delinquent will be referred to the delinquent tax attorney for enforced collection, and will incur an additional penalty equal to 15% - 20% of the total taxes, penalties, and interest due.
All real property accounts not paid in full by June 30th of the year in which they become delinquent will be referred to the delinquent tax attorney for enforced collection, and will incur an additional penalty equal to 15% - 20% of the total taxes, penalties, and interest due.

If you think you had problems paying them before, wait until they penalize you, compound interest for a few months and than do it again. Eventually the penalties could equal the original tax due thereby doubling your taxes due in a very short period of time. Why are we blogging at Tax Loans USA?

 This may at first seem to be a simple question with a simple answer....we are trying to advertise and create exposure. That is a side effect. We know what happens when an individual can't pay their bills but what about a government?

Is your property overtaxed?

The curious thing about laws and county appraisals is they make sense at the time, but are very slow to alter when everyday life dictates something else. Do you think that your property is worth the same now as it was in 2005-2006? If so, turn off your computer and go back to the dreaming....

3) If you have some facets of your property such as an odd floor plan or location near something like train tracks, airports, etc this might adjust your appraisal. These are things that some may deem "less desirable". They may not bother you, but let things like that work for you.

4) After doing your research call the county appraisal district and protest the appraisal. Make sure you have ample supporting data and challenge what they say. I still have rights, don't just roll over! Its your hard earned money, don't just blindly hand it over. It's too hard to make, and in these times just the ability to be able to earn a wage is a blessing. Fight for what is already yours!
